DAMN RIGHT I WOULD JUMP IN FOR A FISH!

In this next video, I was fishing the Alpha Shad from Rago Baits. That girl hopped right off the hook! My feet went in the lake, but I scooped her up and got her in. This is a good transition into the topic of “setting the hook.” I was fishing with mono (aka “monofilament”) line and, because of this line’s stretch, I did not get the best hook set. I didn’t think she would stay on, but I got her to shore and landed her. I was using mono line because mono floats and, under the water, there is a very rocky bottom and it tears up my fluoro (aka “fluorocarbon”) line, which sinks. So for me, it’s a delicate dance on what I should choose sometimes.
