Irvine Lake is Set to Reopen!! The Lake reopens on Aug. 17, parking will be $5. This is the best news I have heard in a very long time in the bass fishing world. The amount of big fish and potential this lake holds is just insane. It took a village and a grand jury report to end the stalemate and get all who were involved to agree that there should be public access, for now. The lake has been off limits since 2016, when the county could not reach a compromise with two water districts that retain the rights to the water. A convenient lake that has a record of 14 pounds 7oz in Orange County?!?! Irvine is great to shore fish with ease! Its also only 20 mins from where I stay the few times a year I make it out to Cali. Lets thank the fishing gods for this one!

Side note FULL MOON TONIGHT lets see if we can SLAY the Midwest bass!

Here is a picture of a small bass that hit a 7in wake bait 2 nights ago. Big baits also catch small fish I guess.
