Post 7. The Midwest five pounder
It’s been awhile since I put out a video. Sometimes carrying around the camera and gear it takes to record is a pain in my ass. ;) But the editing process I find really fun. Eight hours of footage for a 1-minute, 30 second video. But the payoff is worth every bit. I love nothing more than re-watching my catches and sharing them!
It’s been a tough year for the big girls, but I managed to get a “Midwest 5” a five pounder around my area in Chicago. This is a rare bass and I’m so grateful I had the camera running when it counted.
You may be wondering what's been keeping me busy lately. After a year of drawing and playing with clay, I designed the final 3D file for print and got my first run back and swim tested the bate that I'm calling the "ALIEN GILL." I am so excited to share this with everyone! This bait was a lot of work and far more complicated than I thought. But the outcome is so rewarding. :) It’s a floating 5-inch glide gill that has "big fish" written all over it! Now all I have left to do is paint! The official release and swim video will be in my next blog post, so keep an eye out.
The idea behind the Alien Gill was making a good big fish bait that would be available to all walks of life in the fishing world at an affordable price. They will be for sale for a limited time in the store here. I plan to spread the release of the Alien Gill in small batches a few months apart. Stay tuned everyone!
